Our first nonprofit spotlight of 2023 is the wonderful organization, RIP Medical Debt. We want to highlight how their work in making a huge difference in the lives of the people they help. Medical debt is a massive issue in our country with many families unable to pay for medical care and having to choose between which bills are more important.
“Saving your life should never be based on cost” is a line that hit me pretty hard from the end on this video. RIP Medical Debt buys debt accounts for pennies on the dollar. They then use the donated funds to pay off this debt for families that are experiencing hardship and inability to pay. If you have a chance, please do check them out and see if you can donate. Every $100 can relieve someone of close to $10,000 of medical debt, now that is a return anyone could stand behind.
