A local nonprofit in Fontana, CA called Empowering Success Now helps students and adults to have the resources they need to succeed in their chosen paths.
In addition to lots of resources for small businesses, an afterschool homework help program and their College Plus program, with its four Success Pathways for high school students who are thinking about the future, ESN has a program to help students learn about gaming, esports and livestreaming!
There are two free courses that are offered in collaboration with the San Bernardino Probations Department: Esports Foundations and Streaming 101. Both courses are 4 weeks long and students learn a lot! Click the link above to learn more.
We think it is a fantastic idea to teach kids about these areas of interest, because not only are both esports and livestreaming billion dollar industries, the classes themselves can help the teens master skills that they can carry with them, no matter what path they take.
This isn’t the first time we’ve talked about livestreams and video games here on the Moments of Bliss, in part because we are very interested in those topics! We’ve written about the large amounts of fundraising being done by gamers and streamers in Going Beyond the Call of Duty and A Wish to Build A Stream On. We’ve even written about the success of Youtube stars like Mark Rober raising money for the Ocean Cleanup. Are you sensing a bit of a theme here?
