This lucky pup, Neesha, was rescued after being lost for 2 weeks

Anyone who has read our past Moments of Bliss, like Cozy Critter Cams and Love Makes Us Brave, knows that we at Bliss Auctions are huge animal lovers and supporters of animal rescue groups, and we celebrate any time there’s a happy ending to a lost pet story.

This week’s Moment of Bliss focuses on one such story, one that highlights the extraordinary lengths that compassion will call us to go to help a creature in need.

8-year old golden retriever Neesha got lost in Ireland’s Wicklow Mountains for two weeks, and though her family tried everything they could think of to find her, her lucky rescue happened when two hikers came across her while on a challenging mountain hike.

Ciara Nolan and Jean Francois Bonnet didn’t start their hike thinking they’d be called upon to be heroes, but after finding Neesha, they knew they had to help her. Bonnet carried her on his back for the 6-mile hike down the mountain, and the going was strenuous and tough, but the couple did not give up.

We salute these heroes, and are grateful that they were in the right place at the right time to help Neesha to get back home.

Anyone can be a hero, as long as, when the moment comes, they are willing to lead with their heart.
