Friend of Bliss Auctions co-founder Ruth, Scott Froschauer is a Los Angeles-based artist who recently shared his moving experience working with a nonprofit in Las Vegas, Opportunity Village. You can read about the collaboration and then the overwhelming success the artworks had during the benefit auction, above in his own words. In the end, they brought in over $70k for OV, an organization that works with adults with intellectual and related disabilities.
Scott has been making art for decades and his artistic focus is centered on works that are experiential (as in, something to be experienced).
And what an experience he had collaborating with some of the residents of Opportunity Village in Las Vegas, NV, and seeing their work generate so much funding for the center! If you have ever been fortunate enough to have something you created or donated bring in fundraising dollars for a cause you care about, then you understand the rush of emotions Scott felt during this experience.
Kudos to the professional benefit auctioneer who skillfully guided the bidding to its crescendo conclusion. You can watch the action in the second to last media in the post above (click the right arrow to swipe to get to the video).
