This month we are shining the spotlight on the Innocence Project and the work they do to get wrongfully imprisoned people exonerated.

Recognizing the need to focus on innocent people who are wrongfully convicted of crimes, the Innocence Project has been working tirelessly since 1992. With the help of DNA testing, they have proven the innocence of hundreds of people and got them freed after years and sometimes decades behind bars.

Back in September, Leonard Mack was released after 47 years in prison. His wrongful conviction is the longest to be vacated based on DNA evidence in US History. And it is all thanks to the hard work, persistence and dedication of the Innocence Project.

The commitment to justice is one of the foundations of a democracy, and we here at Bliss would like to take a moment to applaud the staff and volunteers at the Innocence Project.
