The compassionate and dedicated people working with International Medical Corps all over the world are carrying on the mission that was launched in 1984 to provide emergency relief and long-term medical training in areas hit by disaster.

They began by training Afghan civilians as advanced medics and then supplied and supported them when they got to work. Since then, they have been on the frontline of any major crisis and they stay as long as it takes.

The catastrophes that draw their focus are obviously tragic, but their aid, and their willingness to be the light for people in need, is the stuff that hope is made of.
