There are a myriad of ways to encourage cooperation and team work, and the majority of them stem from the concept of making each team member feel valued, that their contribution matters and that their voice is heard. At the same time, someone has to be in-charge of the circus, giving clear direction about the goal and the steps needed to reach it.
Whether it’s managing a staff or coordinating a group of volunteers, team work is essential to getting the job done. When everyone understands their role and has the tools and support they need to fulfill that role, the whole is greater the sum of its parts, and that’s where the magic happens.
