Our May Nonprofit Spotlight is dedicated to the good work being done by the Center for Reproductive Rights.
Under normal circumstances, this Moment of Bliss blog is dedicated to providing weekly feel-good content as a way to counteract the stresses of our clients’ lives (and, truth be told, our own lives). The circumstances have not been normal for some time now, and that led us to recommit to our efforts of bringing a small bit of positivity into the world with this blog.
We will continue that mission going forward, but we acknowledge that this week’s post is inspired by and centered on the continuing struggle for reproductive health care in the US. If you arrived at this blog expecting a short post about puppies or problem-solving innovations, please feel free to browse through the archives here.
Some people might mistakenly dismiss this as a women’s issue, or ask why we’d take a stand on such a divisive political issue. We at Bliss agree with our spotlighted nonprofit, the Center for Reproductive Rights, that this is a human rights issue.
They are a global legal advocacy group with expertise in both US constitutional and international human rights law. According to their website, their work “has strengthened reproductive health laws and policies and expanded access to reproductive health care in more than 50 countries throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as in the United States.”
If you feel moved to support their work, you can find several ways to donate via their website, or click here to go directly to their donation page.
