No matter the challenge, we all face obstacles on our paths to success, and often times, it is how we respond to those obstacles that is the true achievement, when compared to the prize at the end of the race. Every time we persevere, each time we get back up after falling down, every instance of overcoming an obstacle is a victory in itself.
When a skateboarder in Japan began to lose his eyesight, many thought his days of grinding were over. Instead, he found ways to continue to pursue his passion using the tools available to him: his mobility cane and his other senses. The courage he displays while taking jumps blind is inspiring, and we aspire to be that brave when faced with our own inevitable obstacles.
