Did you know there is such a thing as the “Comedy Pet Photography Awards“? Well, now you do and you’re welcome.
They recently released their 2021 Finalists, and will be announcing the winners on December 7th! According to the folks who produce the annual submission competition, their primary goal in putting on the contest is as follows:
“Through the Comedy Pet Photo Awards, we want to promote positive awareness of animal welfare issues and celebrate the incredible and valuable contribution that pets can and do have on our lives.”
We at Bliss can get behind all of that.
In addition to highlighting the wonderful role that pets play in our lives, and providing some much needed “awwww” moments and giggles, the competition also acts as a fundraiser for a local pet rescue group. Each year the organizers select a different grassroots organization to support, and we can think of no better reason to enjoy hilarious pet pics! You can donate to this year’s recipient directly, Animal Support Angels, by visiting the UK-based charity’s website.
They even have a “Junior” category for submission, which encourages kids to get into photography while celebrating their love of pets. They also produce a Comedy Wildlife Photography Competition.
