When it has been a long year full of finding solutions and navigating new waters, we need to remember that our own self care is just as important as taking care of the people and companies we work with. Knowing that it’s time to take a load off has a positive effect on your mental health, attitude and energy. When we are well rested we are in a much better position to assist those who need it and to come up with creative solutions to complex problems.

We here at Bliss recommend scheduling part of your day as some self care or cooling down time. Whether at the start of the day or at the end, taking some time to recognize yourself and the things you have done and plan to do will help clear your mind and prepare you for the tasks to come. Take your pet for a walk, give a cat some snuggles, do a crossword or workout, whatever it is that you need to do in order to complete a self care regiment.

When you recharge yourself, tasks, problems and conflict are more easily dealt with. You are more easily able to give out positive energy to your guests and clients, helping put them into a place of confidence and calm. Besides all of that, you deserve some time for yourself. You’ve earned it, it’s been a heck of a year!
